Dell has equipped the Inspiron with a SATA-3 HDD from Seagate. The two.v-inch ST1000LM035 has a capacity of ane TB, of which about 820 GB are available to the user. The Recovery partition and Windows operating arrangement take up the remaining space.

The transfer rates of the HDD are very bad compared to the SSD systems. The Asus X510UA is also equipped with an HDD of the same build. In that device, the HDD reaches slightly amend rates, although its sequential read and write rates are non as skillful.

Graphics

The integrated AMD Radeon RX Vega 3 graphics core supports DirectX 12 and works at speeds of up to 1100 MHz - or at least it does in theory. The Vega three benefits from fast RAM. As the retentiveness controller supports up to DDR4 2400 memory, which is exactly what Dell has given its device, the master speed limit is the missing second RAM, which would enable it to run in dual-channel mode.

The results of the 3DMark benchmarks are beneath average for the Vega three (-28/-30%), which is due to the throttled CPU. The Vega 3 therefore also performs less skilful than about UHD Graphics 620.

Basically, the Radeon RX Vega 3 does not look like a bad iGPU. All the same, at that place is a big variance in its performance and our examination unit is positioned correct at the bottom of the calibration. The Acer Aspire 3 A315-41 shows that things can wait very dissimilar with the aforementioned APU.

Due to its limited performance the Inspiron tin can display even fewer games smoothly than would be possible with this APU, which cannot offer very high operation anyway.

The Vega iii cannot keep upwards with Intel's integrated graphics solutions HD 620 or UHD 630. Its functioning is almost always below average in the function segment. However, it performs above average with some games such as "BioShock Infinite".

Temperature

Our exam unit of measurement responds to the stress test (Prime95 and FurMark running for at least ane hour) similarly when running on bombardment and on power supply. When connected to a socket, the processor clocks between 824 MHz and ane.4 GHz. The graphics core but reaches a clock rate of 230 MHz.
